Carol Voderman has opened up to her admirers about the less glamorous side of her life that people don't see. She admitted that she frequently applies makeup in service station toilets.
She was sitting at the Reading service station in a video she posted to Twitter, having just finished doing her makeup in the toilet in preparation for a day of production meetings in London.
She said: "Oh the glamour, just stopped for fuel at the Reading service station I'm on my way into lots of production meetings for new shows and things in London. I've just put my makeup on in the service station toilets, as per."

She added: "It makes me laugh, people think mistakenly that there's this glamourous life going on. Can I just tell you that I'm the biggest happiest scruff on the planet. But sometimes I have to scrub up a bit so this is a half hearted attempt. I shall continue on my route and wish you all the love in the world."
After captioning the video "So this is my morning…how’s yours going? Let me know Xx" hundreds of people responded. The secret Carol disclosed made many people laugh, and some said it 'brightened up' their day.
One said: "Same I do make up anywhere love the way you are carol just normal lady going on about real life stuff. Judy having coffee first then make up smile be happy have a fab day." A second said: "Ah love how real you keep it and you scrub up rather well I have to say! Have a great day Carol"
A third added: "Half-hearted? Looking as amazing as ever to be honest."
