Carol Vorderman says 'life is bloody marvellous' as she receives I'm a Celeb bombshell

TV star Carol Vorderman has become the latest celebrity forced out of the I'm A Celebrity South African jungle after failing a survival challenge. The former Countdown presenter said her experience was "very different" to her first time on the show in 2016, claiming some of her fellow celebs were "savvy" in front of the camera this time around.

Carol, 62, competed against her fellow campmates in a series of challenges for a remaining place on the show ahead of the fan-favourite challenge, Celebrity Cyclone. However, the TV star, along with Paul Burrell, failed to complete the challenges fast enough to beat their opposition and both were forced to leave the show.

Talking to show presenters Ant and Dec, Carol admitted her time on the show had been "very different" to her first time round and felt some of her campmates had been "savvy" in their camp behaviour.

She admitted: "It's very different because people have done it before, so they're a bit more savvy about it." When the presenters asked whether they thought the trials were more difficult this time around, both Paul and Carol said they had been.

"I think they've been a lot tougher," Carol admitted. Despite having a difficult time of it while in the jungle, Carol remained positive in her exit interview as she said: "What's not to love - life is bloody marvellous!'

The final four remaining celebrities include former England cricketer Phil Tufness, popstar Myleene Klass, radio DJ and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, and Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread. All four competed in the famed Celebrity Cyclone, a show tradition and favourite challenge of both the celebs and viewers.

Carol told The Mirror she was 'disappointed' not to make it to the final, but had a 'fantastic' time on the show. She said: “It was harder and more brutal, it felt different. There was no public vote so they upped the trials and pitted us against each other.

“I would have liked to get to the final so there was a tiny sense of disappointment but I’m really glad I did it. The overall experience, aside from the Tanks of Terror, was absolutely fantastic.”
