Carol Vorderman poses in just a towel while on holiday

Carol Vorderman shared pictures of herself in just a towel as she enjoyed a relaxing spa day in Portugal.

The 61-year-old attends wellness retreats several times a year. While these often entail intense exercise, occasionally Carol has a day of pampering.

On Saturday, Carol had a lymphatic drainage massage, which reportedly can help get rid of excess fluid in the body. Sharing a series of pics on Instagram, Carol posed in the fluffy towel.

Captioning the snaps, Carol wrote: "Tried to do some mirror selfies...not sure I succeeded.....looking all hoity toity and posh in one of them. Lols. As if. I couldn't be that if I actually tried.

"Once a commoner.....always a..... Happy weekend xx"

The Portuguese spa day is another moment in her remarkable body transformation which she has undergone in recent months, reports the Mirror. The Pride of Britain host has dropped a dress size in two weeks while she was at the Juicy fitness retreat, also in Portugal.

Carol showed fans on social media that she had been undergoing intense workouts during her stay and that she only drank juices while there. She wrote on Instagram at the time, along with pics of her draining regime: "We're coming home soon....still another day to go. 18 days -3 days (going to restaurants) = 15 days on juice here at @juicemasterretreats @jasonvale.

"I've dropped over a dress size and bursting with energy. Haven't been into these shorts for a few years and now they're loose. Boommmm.

Carol continued: "My other half here @jules__sampson has dropped TWO dress sizes and looks incredible and feels so strong. It's a special place here. So chilled out and happy. Jason has created the magic alright."
