In the wake of the partygate scandal at the heart of the government, presenter Carol Vorderman has never shied away from talking about how she feels. The 62-year-old former Countdown star regularly uses her social media platforms to discuss political matters.
In a less critical tweet on Tuesday, June 20, Carol paid tribute to late Welsh politician, Aneurin Bevan. In a bid to encourage people to vote, she shared a clip that was voiced by Michael Sheen, who is currently receiving acclaim for his performance in BBC drama Best Interests - read more about that here.
Writing on social media, Carol said: Our Welshman @michaelsheen reading the words of Aneurin Bevan, the truly fine politician who fought for and spearheaded the creation of the NHS. Thank you @glastonbury. Please please encourage all young people at Glastonbury to register for Voter ID.”

Several people replied to Carol’s tweet in agreement. One person said: “Wow - how fantastic!” of the video that she shared.
A second wrote: “thank goodness fo NYE BEVAN.” And a third commented: “The hairs on my legs are standing on end, watching and listening, Carol … oh, and now the tears!”
