Carol Vorderman was left stunned after a TOWIE star proposed to be "one of her special friends" in a shocking revelation.
The Countdown star was informed of her secret admirer Pete Wicks, 35, whilst she was chatting to presenter Holly Jay-Smith behind the scenes at ITV.
Carol, 62, has openly talked about her five "special friends" and was quizzed if Pete could make a new addition.
Holly asked her: “Do you know who Pete Wicks is?”, where Carol replied that she was aware of the reality TV star.
The This Morning presenter revealed Pete had admitted he fancies her during a chat on his Staying Relevant podcast, alongside Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson.
“So basically, he’s gone on a podcast and he said he wants to be one of your men," she added.
I'm A Celebrity South Africa star Carol gasped and giggled, before asking Holly to show her the snap of Pete again.
The maths whizz nodded to show her approval before she asked Holly: “Is that official now?”
Holly replied: “Well, you’ve got to start following him [on Instagram ] at least. Because they said on their podcast that he’d like to be one of your men.
“So we were in makeup pulling up the picture, and they were like, ‘yes!’”
“One of my special friends? That’s hilarious,” Carol said.
Pete soon responded to the video with a flirty message for Carol, saying: “Ready when you are Carol…”
The TV personality has since followed Pete on Instagram.
Recently she has opened up on her private life and previously revealed she dates multiple men at the same time.
She dubs the mysterious men her 'special friends' and her children Katie, 31, and Cameron, 25, know most of them.
Despite the many men in her life, the TV presenter claims it works out well and isn't a jealous person.
In January, Carol discussed the 'system' she put place with her lovers.
Appearing on Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers, she said she has been having the "best time".
"I spoke a couple of months ago about having 'special friends' and it was like, again, the world had fallen in for some people but actually what I found was there was an awful lot of women who said 'I'd never thought about it like this'," she said.
The TV star went on to explain that she's been in 'long-term relationships if you like' with the special friends.
"One's 11 years, one's seven years, you know everyone is single. It's a happy place. I hasten to add I'm not into one night stands," Carol said.
