Carol Kirkwood's fiancé finally revealed as 'divorced police officer 13 years her junior'

Carol Kirkwood has been in a relationship with her now fiancé since 2021 but has kept his identity mostly hidden from the public, having only referred to him by his first name.

However, it's now been revealed that the BBC Breakfast star's fiancé is fitness fan Steve Randall, who at 47 is 13 years Carol's junior.

The weather presenter has always kept her fiancé's identity under wraps including when she announced live on air that the pair had got engaged in May 2022.

Carol's fiancé split from his wife of 12 years Nichola Randall and the mother of their teenage son in 2017 while the weather presenter was divorced from her husband of 18 years, Jimmy Kirkwood in 2008.

Mr Randall is a police officer and dedicated runner, as revealed by MailOnline.

The mystery man sparked rumours he was Carol's fiancé when he was first seen with Carol last May.

The BBC Breakfast weather presenter and the police officer live together in Carol's £2million home in a gated community in Berkshire, on the banks of the Thames.

It's understood they moved in together last year and residents of the complex described the couple as "down to earth".

One resident told MailOnline: "Steve's a great bloke, very friendly and easy to talk to. You don't see him and Carol out and about that much but when you do, they like walking along the Thames.

"He was visiting Carol all the time and then moved in last year. They're both very down to earth and make a lovely couple."

The BBC weather presenter revealed she was in a new relationship in June 2021 as she described her boyfriend as the "best thing that has ever happened to me".

She told Prima Magazine: "I don't want to say too much about my boyfriend, but I will say that he is very kind and very funny – he's always making me laugh. And extremely handsome, as well.

"He always makes me a cup of tea before I go to work in the morning, which is very romantic – it's 2.45am and he often leaves me a little love note for when I come home from work. That, to me, is worth a million red roses.

"He is the best thing that's ever happened to me, without a shadow of a doubt."
