Carlo Ancelotti has played down the chances of leaving Real Madrid to take over as head coach of Brazil.
The Italian is one of the leading candidates to replace Tite after the Selecao's disappointing exit from the World Cup at the quarter-final stage. They were knocked out on penalties by Croatia, having been one of the favourites to win the tournament.
In the aftermath of that defeat, Tite confirmed that would be leaving his role, with his contract having expired. Brazil remain on the search for their next boss, though they do have plenty of time to decide before their next match.
Ancelotti has emerged as one of the frontrunners amid his impressive spell at Madrid. The Italian returned to Los Blancos ahead of last season, leading them to the LaLiga and Champions League double.
While they are currently second to bitter rivals Barcelona this season, Ancelotti's job is not in danger. And he has now insisted that he wishes to continue in the Bernabeu dugout, rather than take the Brazil job.
“Coaching Brazil? I don’t know what will happen in the future, I live in the moment. I’m older and I feel good in Madrid, we still have many goals to achieve," he told Radio Anch'io Sport.

"There is time to think about the future. I have a contract that ends in 2024 and if Real Madrid don't sack me before then, I'm not going to move."
Ancelotti has previously opened the door to becoming an international manager at some point before he retires. But he also made it clear then that his full focus was on Los Blancos.
"Why not? I would love to, of course. After this period at Real Madrid it is likely that I will retire. But if Real Madrid want me to be here for another 10 years, I'll be here for another 10 years," Ancelotti told Amazon Prime Video.
Ancelotti's candidacy for the job has been backed by Brazil legend Ronaldo, who won the World Cup in 2002. The former striker believes either the Italian, Pep Guardiola or Jose Mourinho should take over from Tite.
“I would love to see names like Guardiola, Ancelotti or Mourinho coaching Brazil. But I am not the one who chooses, we will see what happens. These names have emerged in Brazil, but I don't know if it's true," he told Mundo Deportivo.
"I don't see a problem with him being a foreign coach with Brazil. Now there is going to be a big discussion about the future coach of Brazil, I see these names very favorably. We didn't know how to waste time in extra time after the goal.
"We needed to be smarter, it's the only thing we needed to pass the tie. He [Neymar] is very upset with the result in Brazil. It's normal for him to feel that right now, but I'm sure he'll come back stronger and continue playing for Brazil.
"He is still young and can play the next World Cup. I am proud of how he showed his commitment in the last six months with Brazil. He played a great first game, suffered the ankle injury and made a lot of sacrifices to play for the national team again."
