Carl Frampton shares fitness plans after becoming "fat as f***"

Carl Frampton has revealed how he is on a new fitness drive after becoming "fat as f***".

The former two-weight world boxing champion has always been in decent shape but understandably has taken the foot off the gas since retiring last year.

But at 35 years of age, the Jackal has decided to hit the road in an attempt to lose some weight.

He shared his plans on Instagram on Wednesday, updating fans as he got some steps in during a walk.

In a video on his Insta Stories, Frampton said: "What's happening everybody. So, I've set myself some new targets. And why I am telling everyone is that when you say it, you kind of have to do it.

"You have to be accountable.

"New target for me is to get at least 15,000 steps in a day. Maybe 20,000. We'll try for 20,000 but I'll be happy with 15,000.

"And a couple of training sessions a week. But loads of walking, and I'll tell you why.

"Because I am fat as f***. Look at my chin. I needed a kick up the h***."

Frampton had lost some weight after doing the TC60 fitness plan from good mate and former gym stable mate Tommy Coyle.

But he admits he put it back on again.

He added: "I lost a wee bit of weight when I was doing the TC60 with Tommy, but I went back off it and I put the weight back on. YoYo-ing up and down and up and down, and it is not healthy.

"I don't really like training, that's why I am walking.

"I do a couple of sessions a week. Like, I'll do weight sessions. I don't mind weights and the odd run.

"But walking is nice and it clears the head. It is good for the mind and good for the soul.

"So that's it. Let's see if I start to lose some weight."
