Carl Frampton left needing a tetanus shot after rescuing his cat from being mauled by a dog

Former world champion boxer Carl Frampton received some nasty cuts to his face while rescuing his cat from being attacked by a dog.

The 35-year-old shared the bizarre incident on his Instagram story which also led to a hospital visit in order to get a tetanus shot.

The Belfast native showed a bit of wry wit despite the ordeal as he joked he was 'filled in' by his pet.
