'Career destroying' court lie lands detective behind bars for 'tragic misjudgment'

An experienced detective who lied while giving evidence in a "tragic misjudgment" will spend the next four months behind bars.

In the ACT Supreme Court on Friday, August 21, Trent Madders, 52, was handed an almost year-long jail sentence to be suspended after four months upon entering into a good behaviour order.
