Care home worker's cars vandalised after 'bricks thrown at windows'

Staff at an Easterhouse care home were forced to call the police after youths vandalised their cars whilst working.

The Abbey Court Care Home workers noticed the youngsters 'running around' on top of scaffolding at around 9.30pm on Thursday evening.

They were then spotted throwing bricks and stones at cars in the car park, causing significant damage.

One car had its windscreen damaged with two stones, while others had their doors and bonnets dented, reports Glasgow Live.

Another had its driver-side window completely smashed.

Police were called to a report of vandalism and are carrying out enquiries.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to reports of a vehicle being damaged on Abbeygreen Street, Glasgow at around 9.30pm on Thursday, 19 May, 2022.

“Officers are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances.”
