Cardo Systems was once a brand only associated with communication systems, specifically for motorcycles. But last year, the Israeli manufacturer shook the norm and launched its first helmets, which, of course, integrated the communication technology that took the company to the top of the industry in the first place. Now, Cardo has taken its helmet range a step further with the introduction of the Venture.
The Venture is the first-ever motocross helmet that comes with integrated mesh communication technology. This unit features second-gen Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC), which is the same level of technology found on the company's premium communication systems, like the PackTalk Pro. Users can listen to what it sounds like when other riders chew dirt via integrated JBL speakers. But is communication a gap in the niche that riders are missing out on? Cardo's CEO seems to think so.

For the first time, riders have a seamless way to stay connected in the most demanding off-road environments, fundamentally changing how they train, ride, and experience the sport together.”
But, of all helmets, motocross lids need to protect, and the Venture has some hefty safety credentials. This unit uses Leatt’s 360-degree Turbine Technology, which is specifically designed to reduce the impact forces caused by rotational acceleration. The Venture uses a three-in-one safety system and four-density impact foam, which helps it meet ECE 22.06 and DOT certification standards, and it has also received an ACU Gold sticker in the UK, which means it can be used in off-road racing.
The Venture is on sale in the US now with an MSRP of $799.95, which includes the integrated Cardo system. The question is, does the world of off-road riding need mesh communication?
