The Arizona Cardinals fell to 4-9 Monday night in a 27-13 loss to the New England Patriots. Quarterback Kyler Murray suffered what could be a season-ending knee injury on the third play of the game, the offense turned the ball over twice and the Patriots scored 20 unanswered points.
Colt McCoy was sacked six times.

Kyler Murray down!
On the third play from scrimmage, Murray took off running to his right. After a three-yard gain and no one touching him, his left knee buckled and he went to the ground. He had to be carted off.
Missed FG
The first drive of the game ends with no points. After the Murray injury, the Cardinals move into field-goal range with Colt McCoy at quarterback. However, Matt Prater missed a 50-yard field goal, his second consecutive miss of the season.
Pats CB Jack Jones hurt
The Patriots suffer a loss on defense. Rookie cornerback Jack Jones, who played collegiately for Arizona State, exits the game with a knee injury. He is questionable to return.

The Cardinals make the first big play of the game on defense. Cameron Thomas hits Mac Jones in the arm as he throws the ball, which causes it to float up in the air. Isaiah Simmons picks off the pass and the Cardinals take over at the New England 36.
Pats WR DeVante Parker, RB Rhamondre Stevenson injured
The injury bug continues.
The latest include the Patriots’ two best remaining offensive players. Receiver DeVante Parker suffers a head injury and is being evaluated for a concussion.
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson left with an ankle injury.
Both are questionable to return.
Cardinals 3, Patriots 0
The Cardinals get points on the board after the takeaway.
They go 20 yards in seven plays and Matt Prater makes a 33-yard field goal to get points on the scoreboard in the second quarter to break the scoreless tie.

The Patriots respond to the field goal with a touchdown.
Kevin Harris runs 14 yards for a touchdown after Cardinals CB Trayvon Mullen is flagged for a facemask penalty.
They go 75 yards in eight plays.

The Cardinals have an opportunity to get a touchdown but stall.
Marquise Brown draws a 39-yard pass interference penalty but then Colt McCoy misfires on a throw to Brown that would have been a touchdown and throws incomplete to DeAndre Hopkins in the back of the end zone, who makes a one-handed catch without getting his feet inbounds. Prater gets a 32-yard field goal to pull the Cardinals within one point.
CB Marco Wilson hurt
Wilson has to leave the field and is taken to the locker room. He has a stinger and his return is questionable.

The Cardinals take the lead with their first touchdown of the game. James Conner carries defenders 10 yards for the touchdown after a pair of Robbie Anderson catches gets them in scoring position.
Anderson leads the Cardinals with three catches for 44 yards so far.
Cardinals 13, Patriots 10 at halftime
The Patriots get a 51-yard field goal as time expires in the first half.
The Cardinals were in field-goal range for a 50-yarder but elected to go for it on fourth-and-one. Colt McCoy’s pass to Trey McBride was tipped and gave the Pats the ball.
Mac Jones connected with Hunter henry for a 30-yard pass and then Jones fumbled but recovered the ball. Folk pulled the Pats within three points.
The Patriots start the second half with possession.

The Patriots opened the second half with a 23-yard field goal to tie the game.
Pierre Strong’s 44-yard run sparks the drive.
Hopkins fumbles, Patriots score defensive TD
The Patriots take a 20-17 lead in the third quarter when DeAndre Hopkins fumbles the ball and linebacker Raekwon McMillan recovers it and runs 23 yards for the touchdown.
Colt McCoy picked off
McCoy throws the ball for who knows who and Marcus Jones picks him off.
Pick-6 turned into an incomplete pass
After McCoy throws the interception, it looks like Zaven Collins has an interception of his own and touchdown.
For the second game in a row, he has the play overturned on review.
It is ruled an incomplete pass.
Zach Allen out
Defensive lineman Zach Allen, who has a sack in the game, exits the game with a hand injury and is ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
