The Arizona Cardinals made a surprising move on Monday. In the wake of Marquise Brown’s injury and the return of DeAndre Hopkins, they have traded for a wide receiver.
Buy Cardinals TicketsReported first by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals have traded for Carolina Panthers receiver Robbie Anderson.
Anderson was sent to the locker room after halftime of the Panthers’ loss on Sunday and was going to end up released.
The Cardinals now acquire him and are on the hook for his remaining salary of roughly $700,000.
He has one year remaining on his contract. He is due $8.8 million in 2023.
The team announced the trade and is giving up “undisclosed draft compensation.”
In six games this season, the 6-3, 190-lb wideout has 13 catches for 206 yards and a touchdown.
