The NFL is going through its coaching cycle as seven teams have parted ways with their head coaches. A year after hiring Jonathan Gannon as head coach, the Arizona Cardinals are not part of this process. They have coaching stability for now.
However, the Cardinals are impacted by the coaching searches. Why?
They will play five of the seven teams in 2024 who are hiring new coaches.
In 2024, they will face the following teams who will have a new head coach:
- Seattle Seahawks (twice)
- New England Patriots
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Washington Commanders
- Carolina Panthers
Seattle parted ways with Pete Carroll after 14 seasons, moving him into the front office in an advisory role.
The Patriots are looking for a new head coach now for the first time in 24 years after moving on from Bill Belichick.
The Chargers fired Brandon Staley.
The Commanders fired Ron Rivera.
The Panthers fired Frank Reich in the middle of his first season as their head coach.
The two teams looking for new head coaches that the Cardinals will not face are the Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans.
