Cardinals select Syracuse CB Garrett Williams with 1st 3rd-round pick

Garrett Williams Cardinals Syracuse The Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals made the first of three third-round picks on Friday on Day 2 of the NFL draft and went with a defensive player.

With the 72nd pick in the draft, they selected Syracuse cornerback Garrett Williams. He is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in October.

Williams was a three-year starter at Syracuse.

He is 5-foot-10 and 192 pounds.

In seven games last season before his injury, he had 36 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions and three pass breakups.
