The NFL announced the full Week 18 schedule and the Arizona Cardinals will play their final game of the season in a normal time slot.
They will host the Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium at 4:25 p.m. ET, which is at 2:25 p.m. Arizona time.
There is nothing special at that time. It is the time the Cardinals would normally play any home game.
The NFL always makes the final week’s schedule of the regular season to be determined so that it can manipulate the times and teams so that division titles, playoff seeding and playoff berths are not decided before the teams involved kick off their games.
It doesn’t matter for the Cardinals, who have been eliminated from postseason contention, but it does matter for the Seahawks.
Seattle needs to beat the Cardinals and for the Green Bay Packers to lose their Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears to make the playoffs. The Green Bay-Chicago game also kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET.
The Cardinals can play spoiler for a division rival in the finale.
