Cardinals roster cuts tracker: Releases, injuries, trades and more

The Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL must trim their rosters by Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET down to 53 players. That means there will be a flurry of reports and announcements, whether it is releases, trades, players going on injured reserve or waiver claims.

The Cardinals have begun the moves, announcing three cuts with another three reported.

Players to injured reserve

The Cardinals placed one player on injured reserve before the active roster was set.

His season is over

Waived/injured and injury settlements

The Cardinals parted with a few players who had injuries.

Two were vested veterans and were cut with injury settlements:

  • DL Christian Ringo
  • OL Justin Murray

Four players were waived with injury designations. They must go through waivers and, if they go unclaimed, will revert to injured reserve. These players typically end up with an injury settlement down the road.

WR DeAndre Hopkins was moved to the exempt list for suspensions.
