On paper, the Atlanta Falcons‘ upcoming matchup against the 1-8 Arizona Cardinals looks like the perfect opportunity to get their season back on track, however, looks can be deceiving.
Two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Kyler Murray will make his first start of the season for the Cardinals on Sunday. Plus, running back James Conner has officially been activated from the injured reserve list.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Conner will play in Week 10.
The #AZCardinals are activating starting RB James Conner from Injured Reserve and he’ll play Sunday, sources say. So, Kyler Murray and Conner back for AZ.

Conner has been one of the few bright spots on the Cardinals this season. In the five games Conner was active for, he rushed for 364 yards on 5.4 yards per attempt.
Murray could also pose some problems based on what Josh Dobbs did to Atlanta last weekend. After losing two straight games to subpar teams, the Falcons need a win at all costs in Arizona.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 4:05 p.m. ET and will air on CBS. Make sure to check out the Falcons’ Week 10 injury report, updated depth chart and our latest 5-round mock draft.
