It is Senior Bowl week, which means the 2024 NFL draft is on everyone’s mind. Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar has a new mock draft and, for the Arizona Cardinals, it is not ideal.
The Chicago Bears take Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the first overall pick.
Who do the Cardinals get in these projections with their two first-round selections?
Pick No. 4: Penn State OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu
Could the Cardinals go with a tackle two consecutive years in the top 10 of the draft?
It could make sense, especially with left tackle D.J. Humphries having torn his ACL at the end of December. Fashanu and Paris Johnson could be bookend tackles for a decade.
However, if Harrison is taken first overall, the Cardinals will likely look to trade back to add more picks.
Pick No. 27: Georgia CB Kamari Lassiter
This is a fun pick for a lot of reasons. Lassiter is great prospect, he fills a premium position of need and there is a historical connection. His late father, Kwamie Lassiter, played for the Cardinals for eight seasons.
It would be the second consecutive draft taking a player in the first round whose father played for the Cardinals (Paris Johnson’s dad was drafted by the Cardinals).
