Cardinals’ Matthew Liberatore made Oneil Cruz look silly with this 76 mph curveball that dropped in for a strike

Baseball’s regular season is now over and what a season it was for pitchers throwing absolutely nasty stuff and what a tough season it was for batters trying to hit all of those nasty pitches.

While the postseason starts tomorrow, let’s take a second and look back at one last filthy pitch from the regular season.

Cardinals lefty starter Matthew Liberatore threw a disgusting/beautiful 76 mph curveball in Wednesday’s season finale against the Pirates that had Pittsburgh’s Oneil Cruz ducking out of the way. The only problem for Cruz was that the ball didn’t hit him, instead it dropped in to the zone for a called strike.
