Cardinals have spots to fill on roster, practice squad

The Arizona Cardinals enter Week 16 with vacancies both on the active roster and the practice squad. With cornerback Divaad Wilson getting signed from the practice squad by the New York Giants to their active roster, there is an opening on there.

The Cardinals placed two players — punter Blake Gillikin and running back Emari Demercado — on injured reserve on Saturday. They added one player to the 53-man roster when they were awarded safety Jammie Robinson on a waiver claim.

They also have some injuries to watch. Linebacker Mack Wilson suffered a concussion on Sunday and running back Trey Benson suffered an ankle injury. If either is serious enough to put them on injured reserve, they could have another vacancy.

Expect to see roster move announcements made by Wednesday morning when they have their first practice of the week.
