Preparation for the 2024 NFL draft continues for the Arizona Cardinals. They continue to scout, evaluate and meet with draft prospects.
They were scheduled to meet with one of the best in the draft on Wednesday.
LSU held their pro day on Wednesday and receiver Malik Nabers worked out after not participating in any football drills at the NFL combine.
According to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, Nabers was set to meet with the Cardinals following his workout after having met with five teams on Tuesday before the pro day.
Nabers had a fantastic showing at his pro day. He measured just over six feet tall and weighed 199 pounds with 31 3/8-inch arms and 9 7/8-in hands.
He showed off elite athleticism, running the 40 in 4.35 seconds, posted a 42-inch vertical leap, a 129-inch broad jumps and completed 15 bench-press reps at 225 pounds.
Nabers had consecutive 1,000-yard seasons for the Tigers but his best season was in 2023 when he caught 89 passes for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns.
He is vying with Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. to be the first receiver drafted next month.
The Cardinals, who have the fourth overall pick, definitely could select him.
