The Arizona Cardinals have 11 selections in the 2024 NFL draft. However, despite early projections last offseason because of free agency, they will not receive any additional compensatory picks.
The NFL announced compensatory selections on Friday and the Cardinals were not awarded one.
They were originally projected to receive a fourth-round pick but center Hjalte Froholdt’s playing time bonuses escalated his contract, negating the potential added pick.
The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles were each awarded a league-high five.
In all, 34 compensatory selections were awarded. Two were special picks for the 49ers and Los Angeles Rams as a result of other teams hiring their minority coordinators for head coaching jobs.
The Houston Texans hired DeMeco Ryans last year, while Rams DC Raheem Morris was hired as the Atlanta Falcons’ head coach.
The other 32 compensatory selections are awarded based on free agent signings and losses.
