Cardinals-49ers to get good TV coverage nationally

The Arizona Cardinals do not typically get much national television coverage. Typically, whether on CBS or on FOX, their games air only in their own and their opponent’s home television market.

That will change this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

The game will air on FOX, which will only have one broadcast in every market this week, but this game drew their top broadest team of Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady.

506 Sports released the TV coverage maps for Week 5 and, despite FOX only getting one broadcast in every market, the game will get wide coverage.

Check out the graphic from the site:

The Cardinals-49ers game will air in all the areas in pink. It will air in most of the West, parts of Texas, much of the South and then in the Tampa Bay, Baltimore and Buffalo home markets.

This is not out of the ordinary for the 49ers, as they are a well-known team with a national fanbase and an expected Super Bowl contender in the NFL this year.

Despite the Cardinals being big underdogs this weekend — the biggest underdogs in the league this week — on a somewhat national stage, they have an opportunity to show the country they are not one of the league’s worst teams.

Will they show up on a bigger stage and impress? Or will they be embarrassed by a division rival?

That we will see on Sunday afternoon.
