A Cardiff mum who only started playing bingo three months ago has won a huge £50,000 after her numbers came up. Julie, who did not want to share her surname, could not believe her luck on Thursday, May 26, when she won the huge jackpot at her local Club 3000 Bingo club.
The 54-year-old mum-of-three regularly attends the club with her daughter-in-law but said she had never won anything near this sum before. She initially thought she had won £15,000, only to be corrected with the true sum which was more than three times that - something she said was still yet to sink in.
Julie said: "I was trying to work out how much I had won. I didn't have a clue. When I went up everyone was screaming and shouting and I was thinking, 'what are they so excited about?'. You can read more stories about Cardiff here.
