A brand new small plates restaurant has announced its much-anticipated opening date — and it's sooner than you think.
Poca, which is going to be run by the "hugely talented" chef behind Barry's Alium and Dinas Powys' The Humble Onion, Antonio Simone, will be opening in Pontcanna, Cardiff on Wednesday, June 28. Bookings are open as of Thursday, June 8 at 8pm. It is opening at the site of former restaurant La Cuina.
The new Cardiff restaurant is set to be a "small, neighbourhood, friendly eatery" and is described as having "an informal relaxed dining environment, focusing on humble ingredients of the highest quality, serving seasonal small plates, hand-selected wines and cocktails".
