Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City headlines for Tuesday, October 25.
McGuiness refuses to rule out permanent Owls move
Cardiff City defender Mark McGuinness has refused to rule out the possibility of making his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday permanent this summer.
The defender has enjoyed a reasonably successful spell at Hillsborough, having tasted defeat just twice in 10 outings for the Owls.
His solid displays have earned rave reviews in South Yorkshire, sparking questions over whether he might well stay beyond his current loan spell.
"For me, this move was definitely for me to get my head down, get minutes, and perform," he said when questioned on his long-term future.
"You never know what’ll happen in your career, but if I can keep performing then hopefully I can help get Wednesday promoted and do well this season. Then that’ll obviously benefit me in the long run."
"The main focus now is with Sheffield Wednesday at the minute and to hopefully help them get promoted."
"It (the move) all happened very quickly," he said. "It was a bit of a strange situation, but I’m 21-years-old, I needed to be playing.
"I couldn’t sit around and twiddle my thumbs - I needed to do something so I was proactive and as soon as the gaffer (Darren Moore) showed interest, I jumped straight on it and here I am."
Roberts defends Hudson after difficult week
BBC pundit Iwan Roberts believes it's unfair to judge Mark Hudson on Cardiff City's two latest defeats.
Sunday's South Wales derby loss to Swansea City rounded off a nightmare week for Mark Hudson, which saw his side lose three games without scoring a single goal.
However, there's little question that the red card to Callum Robinson changed the course of the game, while Jack Simpson's red card clearly made life harder for Hudson's side in the midweek defeat to Queens Park Rangers.
Roberts believes those mitigating circumstances mean Hudson cannot be judged too harshly, but he admits the uncertainty isn't helping anyone.
"There are reasons why they have lost the last two games," he said.
"But I think this period of uncertainty [at Cardiff] - do we give Mark Hudson the job full time - I don't think it's helping matters."
Under-21s run out comfortable winners
Cardiff City's under-21s secured a comfortable 4-1 win over Colchester United at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Jak Alnwick, Vontae Campbell, Joel Bagan, Gavin Whyte, Kion Etete, Max Watters, Jaden Philogene all featured in a strong line-up, and the hosts seldom looked troubled on a highly comfortable afternoon.
Etete, who could well be first in contention in light of Callum Robinson's suspension, did his chances no harm by putting his side in front with a looped finish after just nine minutes.
Something for Mark Hudson, watching on from the stands, to think about.
Whyte then doubled the lead five minutes before the interval, firing home at the near-post following a low Watters cross, before Philogene swept home with a goal of his own just moments later.
Donnel headed home to pull one back for the visitors, but Ollie Tanner's fine finish 15 minutes from time restored the three-goal lead.
