Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City news for Saturday, December 31.
Transfer embargo update
Cardiff boss Mark Hudson has reiterated that Cardiff are continuing to target new recruits in January, despite their ongoing transfer embargo.
The Bluebirds are facing up to the prospect of being unable to supplement their squad when the window opens tomorrow, but Hudson says the club have still identified possible targets.

"Nothing new," Hudson responded when quizzed on the latest situation after the draw with Coventry City. "All the lawyers are still dealing with the situation behind the scenes. Constant dialogue. It is very much day by day, but there's nothing new from yesterday."
Sources have already indicated to Wales Online that the situation has already caused Cardiff to miss out on a loan move for West Ham youngster Lennon Peake in this window, and Hudson has admitted that other targets could conceivably follow suit and decide upon moves elsewhere.
"If that's to be the case then that's the case," he added. "We have got targets and if it doesn't happen we'll continue to work with the group we've got. It's a long month."
Hudson quizzed on Watters future and addresses Sang speculation
Mark Hudson has reiterated that several players will likely be loaned out when the January window opens, but has refused to confirm or deny whether out-of-favour striker Max Watters could be one of those chosen for a temporary stint elsewhere.
Watters has made just eight starts this season and is yet to find the net, while his absence from the last six matchday squads suggests he could be down the pecking order at the moment.
However, when asked whether the forward could be one of the players to spend some time away for the remainder of the season, Hudson replied: "There will be a handful of players that will possibly go on loan and Max is just coming back from injury at the moment.
When pressed specifically on Watters, the Cardiff boss once again played a straight bat.
"There are players that are part of the conversation with loans as a possibility, yes."
Hudson also says he's unaware of any interest in young utility man Tom Sang, amid reports of possible interest from Barnsley.
"Not that I know of, no," Hudson said when quizzed on the Manchester United academy product.
Everton recall Simms
Former Cardiff target Ellis Simms has been recalled from his loan spell at Sunderland by Everton ahead of the January window.
The 21-year-old returns to Goodison Park after netting seven goals in 17 appearances during his five-month stint at the Stadium of Light, and opted to join the Black Cats despite interest from the Welsh capital back in the summer.
Toffees boss Frank Lampard has made the decision after previously suggesting he was keen to bolster his attacking options following the recent departure of Salomon Rondon.
Sunderland's sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said: “Ellis’ return to Merseyside is a real disappointment for us due to the shared progress that he and thecub have made this season. Unfortunately, this is the nature of loans when they are successful, but it is a testament to Tony and the wider staff - and of course to Ellis - that Everton feel he is ready to continue his immediate development in a Premier League environment."
