McGuinness future uncertain
Cardiff loan man Mark McGuinness' future at Sheffield Wednesday is uncertain admits Owls boss Darren Moore.
The defender has been a hit at Hillsborough since joining on a temporary deal last summer. He's made 13 appearances so far for the League One side and the former Arsenal man is getting the game-time he craved.
There is a break clause in his contract when the window opens in January, and Moore says he will have monitor McGuinness' situation, along with Nottingham Forest winger Alex Mighten, who is also on loan in Yorkshire.
Moore said: "With Alex, we think we’ll be fine until the end of the season, and the other one is Mark McGuinness and that’s the one we’re going to have to monitor and see week to week in terms of how it goes.
"I thought he was good again, so we’ll see how that goes over the next couple of weeks. It’s just the game, it’s where it’s at. We’ll monitor it, and then go from there.”
Sang attracting interest
Barnsley have reportedly asked about the availability of Cardiff man Tom Sang.
The utility player has been in and around the first team this season after a spell away from the club on loan last term.
He was the only player to emerge with credit from Cardiff's defeat to rivals Swansea City earlier on this season but since then has been used sparingly.
League One side the Tykes have reportedly been in touch with the Bluebirds, according to our colleagues at the Sunday Mirror, with Sang having worked with boss Michael Duff during their time at Cheltenham.
Early team news
This is the latest team news ahead of tonight's clash versus Coventry City.
The hosts are likely to be without star playmaker Callum O'Hare, after he was stretchered off just seven minutes into the clash with Sheffield United with a suspected knee injury.
Sky Blues boss Mark Robins also confirmed recently that Tyler Walker is expected to be sidelined for at least another month, after he picked up a cruciate knee ligament tear in November.
For Cardiff, Isaak Davies is back in training but Cardiff boss Mark Hudson has suggested the youngster won't be rushed back into action.
Ebou Adams is set to return to training at the end of the month after going under the knife recently, while Kion Etete is due to be assessed after feeling a bit of soreness after the draw with Queens Park Rangers.
Jamilu Collins remains a long-term absentee, but Hudson otherwise has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to the Sky Blues.
