Vaulks completes Owls move
Sheffield Wednesday have signed free agent Will Vaulks after his release from Cardiff City.
Vaulks was omitted from the Bluebirds' retained list published earlier this month, with his contract having expired in south Wales and no appetite for an extension.

A number of clubs had previously expressed interest in him, including former side Rotherham United, QPR, Stoke City and Huddersfield Town, but it's the Owls who have won the race for his signature.
Five sign pro deals
Cardiff City have tied down four of their most promising young players to professional contracts this week, with the club also snapping recruiting their first under-23s signing of the summer.
Jac Clay, James Crole, Caleb Hughes and Aidan MacNamara have all put pen to paper with their boyhood clubs, with 18-year-old defender Xavier Benjamin also penning a contract, having previously played in Fulham's youth system.
New Bluebird Benjamin spoke of his delight after signing his two-year contract. He said: "I'm truly honoured and blessed to be a part of this great club. I cannot wait to get involved, play and progress as a player and a person. I'm really looking forward to interacting with the staff, players and even the fans, as this is a new chapter for me.
"I want to get the ball moving, and I know the opportunity that is here at the club, and I want to take it with both hands when the time comes. On and off the pitch, I'll be giving 100%, working hard and being the best that I can be."
Romeo exit made 'complete sense'
Millwall boss Gary Rowett says Mahlon Romeo's move to Cardiff made perfect sense for all involved.
The right-back signed a three-year contract with the Welsh club last week - one of two full-backs who joined on the same day, alongside Vontae Daley-Campbell from Leicester City.
Romeo spent a stint on loan with Portsmouth last season and has now made the step up to Championship level with the Bluebirds.
“It’s been quite well-documented previously that Mahlon has been quite keen to join Portsmouth last season and had spoken about having a fresh start," Rowett said. "Cardiff is just an extension of that. He’s been a really good player for the football club but, like anything, you get to a point where players feel they need to move on.
“He knows Steve [Morison] at Cardiff, they played together, and it is a step back up to the Championship. It makes complete sense for us and it makes complete sense for him.
“We never want to stand in anyone’s way if they feel it is better for them to be elsewhere. That’s where we will always be as a football club, and should be.”
Bellamy spotted at Burnley
Former Cardiff City star Craig Bellamy has seemingly been spotted on the training ground at Burnley.
The Clarets have been in pre-season training this week ahead of the new campaign, with the club preparing for life back in the Championship after their relegation from the Premier League last term.
Vincent Kompany has since taken over the reins at Turf Moor, and there has already been a suggestion Bellamy may follow him to Lancashire given that the two worked together while at Belgian side Anderlecht.
And those suggestions will only continue to gather pace following an Instagram post from Burnley player Adam Phillips, which appears to show the midfielder sharing a brief moment with Bellamy on the training pitch.
The post has since been edited to take the picture out.
Doughty joins Luton
Luton Town have completed the signing of former Cardiff City loanee Alfie Doughty.
The Hatters have landed the Stoke City man for an undisclosed fee, with Doughty himself admitting that the influence of boss Nathan Jones was a key factor in his decision to make the move to Kenilworth Road.
He said: “I’m looking forward to it. I’m very excited, it is a fresh start and I want to get started straight away.”
It wasn’t just words of wisdom from the gaffer that convinced the 22-year-old to move to Bedfordshire but having watched the progression of the football club over the last few years, it is something the left-sided player is keen to be a part of.
“I think over the last few years they are just getting better and better," he added. "Everybody can see that and I think the league knows that as well. Getting top half the year before and then last year, top six, you can tell the team is just getting better and better and that was definitely one of the reasons why I’m here.”
