Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City headlines for Tuesday, July 5.
Cardiff growing confident over Sawyers
Cardiff City are confident of making Romaine Sawyers their 10th signing of the summer.
As first reported by WalesOnline earlier this week, City are keen on bringing the 30-year-old to the capital this summer, although Stoke City have also registered an interest.

Sawyers was on loan with the Potters last season, netting three goals and earning four assists in 29 appearances.
However, it seems Cardiff are poised to now win the race, with the club growing increasingly positive about their chances of sealing his signature.
Goodliffe eyed
Cardiff City have also taken a look at Sutton United centre-back Ben Goodliffe.
The 23-year-old, who joined Sutton back in 2019 after leaving Wolves, could now be on move this summer, with reports elsewhere also pointing to Championship rivals Millwall as potential destination.
Although they've confirmed the links, club sources have played down the extent of any interest, but City are likely to be keen on recruiting another centre-back before the close of the window, particularly on the back of the departure of Aden Flint. There is also still uncertainty over Sean Morrison's future, although he is set to stay with the Bluebirds as he recovers from injury.
It's understood Cardiff might well prefer a more experienced option this summer, although they are still set to continue keeping tabs on his progress as part of their ongoing search for defensive reinforcements.
Goodliffe was previously on the books at Tottenham Hotspur before being released in 2016, and has also had stints at Boreham Wood, and Dagenham and Redbridge.
He made 53 appearances in all competitions for Sutton last season, netting three goals and earning one assist as Sutton finished just outside the League Two play-offs.
Gunter 'can't wait to get started' at Wimbledon
Wales legend Chris Gunter says he's itching to get going at AFC Wimbledon after signing a one-year contract at Plough Lane.
The 32-year-old once again links up with boss Jonnie Jackson, whom he worked under at previous club Charlton Athletic.
The former Cardiff City man went on to make more than 50 appearances for the Addicks before leaving earlier in the summer.
Speaking after the move was confirmed, he said: “It’s always good when you finish talking to a club and get signed. I can’t wait to get started.
“Once the manager called me it made sense for me to come here. I’m excited about it and everything works for me to be here. I’m really thankful that he called, I know what the aim is for us this season and hopefully we can achieve it.”
Jackson was also clearly happy to have the move completed, and added: “I’m delighted to have brought in someone of Chris’s caliber. His character is really important as well. We’ve brought in an experienced international who will be a big help on and off the football pitch with the way that he conducts himself and trains every day.
“He’s a versatile player who can play in a number of positions across the backline. It all happened pretty quickly after we had initial contact. I worked with him last season and we have always had a good relationship. It was something that he was keen on as soon as we got in contact.
“We’ll be mixing it up. We want experience but at the same time we will be looking at getting some younger ones in. It’s not about age, it’s about the experiences that they’ve had in the past.”
Doyle - it was hard to turn down Blades
Former Cardiff City loanee Tommy Doyle admits he couldn't turn down the chance to move to Sheffield United this summer.
The Manchester City midfielder completed a season-long loan deal to Bramall Lane this week, having proved a big hit in the capital under Steve Morison last season.
Morison was understood to be keen on bringing Doyle back to Cardiff City Stadium, but landing him for another stint was always going to be an uphill battle.
And Doyle admits he's delighted to have secured a move to south Yorkshire, adding that the attention of the Blades was too much to discount.
"I'm excited to be here, I'm ready and looking forward to starting the season," he said. "I got the phone call that Sheffield United was interested and it is hard to say no to a club like this. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, I know one or two already, but I'm focused on getting down to work and preparing for the new season.
"I played for Cardiff at Bramall Lane last season and it wasn't easy. It was a tough day that I remember well, the fans and stadium were brilliant and I'm looking forward to playing there again."
Blades chief Paul Heckingbottom added: "We are pleased to attract a player who has a lot of experience for his age. He's already had a couple of good loans, has been around the first team at Manchester City as well playing for England.
"We think he can add a lot of quality to our midfield, he can play in a couple of positions whether we play as a two or a three, and tactically he is very good, we are confident he will fit into our group very well, he's got the knowledge of how we want to play."
Reading announce tickets deal
Reading have announced a reciprocal ticket deal that will see Cardiff fans pay just £20 for away tickets at the Select Car Leasing Stadium next season.
The Bluebirds are one of several Championship to have agreed to the deal, which will similarly see visiting Royals fans pay the same amount when they visit Cardiff City Stadium for the reverse fixture.
In a statement, Reading said: "We are delighted that three teams have already responded to our offer and have agreed to a reciprocal arrangement - ensuring away fans visiting the Select Car Leasing Stadium will not be charged more than £20 per ticket bought in advance of matchday, whilst also securing a ticket pricing structure capped at £20 for Royals supporters backing the boys on the road in the reverse fixture."
