Amid the flurry of signings late last week, Cardiff City's acquisition of Mahlon Romeo from Millwall might have just slipped under the radar.
An experienced Championship player, Romeo looks likely to slot in as Cardiff's first-choice right-back next season, big boots to fill given last term's player of the season, Cody Drameh, also played in that position.
So, what sort of player are Cardiff getting? Well, we spoke to South London Press' RICH CAWLEY to get the lowdown on the 26-year-old defender...

Q. What are Cardiff getting in Mahlon Romeo? What type of player is he?
They are getting a player who is experienced in the Championship, having played just shy of 150 matches at that level. And Mahlon is familiar with right-back or playing wing-back. He's a competent defender at this level.
Q. What are his best attributes? What can Cardiff fans get excited about?
He's pretty quick, so unlikely to get done in a foot race with any wingers. And he's definitely got the fitness and engine to get up and down that right-hand side.
Q. Anything he needs to improve on?
The thing that Romeo has lacked during his time at Millwall was enough end product in the final third. Certainly gets into some very good positions but too often the final ball isn't quite there. The full-backs who really kick on at this level tend to deliver more regular assists, a bit like Scott Malone has done down the other flank for the Lions.
Q. Cardiff are trying to change their style of play to attack more and be more positive, will he fit into that?
I'd say he should do, but again we come back to the fact that adding decisive moments of quality in the lead up to goals needs to be better. That's not to say it can't happen. Romeo has definitely got plenty of the attributes needed to be an offensive-minded full-back or wing-back, and Steve Morison will know all about what his strengths are having played in the same Millwall team as him for a number of years. It felt like things had gone a bit stale for the player at Millwall, but a fresh start could certainly kickstart him.
When you look back at his Millwall career he more than paid back Neil Harris' faith in handing him a deal when the player was released by Gillingham. He played 221 matches for the club and was part of their play-off winning squad in 2017.
