Club hold transfer meeting as Lamouchi hopes for 'surprises'
Cardiff City's hierarchy and recruitment team held their first transfer meeting today.
Sabri Lamouchi and Sol Bamba were present alongside Ken Choo and Mehmet Dalman as the quartet gave a press conference at Cardiff City Stadium.

Immediately after that, the four of them, along with Cardiff's recruitment team, met to discuss what would happen over the coming days.
On transfers, in his press conference, Lamouchi said: "It’s difficult for me. I have just arrived. I know the club worked before on that. But we will discuss it.
"Three days until the end of the transfer window. I am focused with my squad and the game in Luton. The club are working for one or two good surprises. I don’t know. If some new players arrive I will be happy, if not, I will be happy as well.
"I want to focus on my players and my team and the game on Tuesday."
Curtis Nelson has Blackpool medical
Cardiff defender Curtis Nelson has gone to Blackpool to undergo a medical ahead of a potential link-up with former Bluebirds boss Mick McCarthy.
Nelson has fallen down the pecking order in the Welsh capital, with Cedric Kipre, Mark McGuinness, Perry Ng and even Jack Simpson seemingly ahead of him.
And with just a couple of months left on his contract, Cardiff could look to cash in on a deal which would see him depart the Welsh capital.
However, that move is not a foregone conclusion just yet, with the club wanting to await the outcome of the aforementioned transfer meeting before sanctioning any move.
It is likely Lamouchi will have a say on Nelson's immediate future.
West Ham kid set to sign
Cardiff City are set to announce the signing of West Ham winger Lennon Peake.
WalesOnline reported back in November that the 20-year-old was on trial with the Bluebirds. Indeed, he scored in the second minute during a trial game for the under-21s against Charlton Athletic.
The left-footed left winger has endured a hellish two years of injury torment, missing two full seasons before making a comeback at the start of this campaign.
However he struggled for minutes in West Ham's youth setup this term and sought more regular action elsewhere.
And now he will join the club on a free transfer this month, with the club's EFL embargo stipulating they cannot pay any fees for new players.
It is understood he will initially come into the under-21s setup with a view to graduating to the first team down the line.
Neil Warnock speaks out over Bamba appointment
Former Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock has sent his best wishes to Sol Bamba after his appointment as Cardiff assistant manager.
Bamba was a huge character in the Bluebirds dressing room during Warnock's time at the club and it was even rumoured the ex-City manager would make a return.
However, Cardiff opted for Sabri Lamouchi, who wanted Bamba alongside him in the dugout. And Warnock tweeted: "I’m really pleased for @Sol14Bamba. He’s always loved the club and I think it will be good for both parties. #cardiff."
Aden Flint joins Sheffield Wednesday
Aden Flint has joined Sheffield Wednesday for a second time on loan.
The centre-back was sent to Hillsborough for a loan stint when he was at Cardiff and the Owls were in the Championship during Neil Harris' reign.
And it appears he needs game time once again. Having left Cardiff last summer for Stoke City, he has struggled for regular minutes in the Potteries and Wednesday have offered him a lifeline.
Cardiff recalled Mark McGuinness from his loan at Wednesday earlier this month and the League One side have opted for a former Bluebird to fill the void.
