Cardiff City boss Steve Morison has revealed that both Alfie Doughty and Sam Bowen are both out for the remainder of the season.
The Bluebirds are set to face promotion-pushing Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon, but will have to do so without Doughty and Bowen. Doughty, who arrived at Cardiff City Stadium on loan from Stoke City in January, has picked up an injury meaning his time in the Welsh capital is up.
Morison said: “Alfie will go back to Stoke tomorrow. That’ll be the end of his season. It’s not actually that bad an injury, it’s only two or three weeks but as we’ve only got two weeks and two days left, it’ll be too soon for him." You can read every word from Morison's press conference here.

Midfielder Bowen also has a hamstring injury, with Morison adding: “Sam won’t feature between now and the end of the season. He can’t hit his top-end stuff that he needs to, and is recovering very slowly.”
The Cardiff chief also revealed that Isaak Davies has picked up an issue this week. He said: "He felt his hamstring a little bit yesterday in training. We’re so close to the game now so we’ve taken him out for the game this weekend. Hopefully it’s just a bit of fatigue and tiredness after being asked to do a lot from not a lot, so hopefully it’s not too bad.”
Max Watters is set to return to the squad, having made an appearance for the under-23s in the week following an ankle injury he suffered in training some two months ago.
Morison said: “He had to play a game [for the 23s] just to tick that box. With Isaak being out this weekend, he’ll definitely be involved in the squad.”
Joe Ralls is also due to return to the action.
