Cardiff City have announced a total of nine players will leave the club this summer upon the end of their contracts with three senior professionals having been offered new contracts.
Of the senior players, Dillon Phillips, Tom Sang, Gavin Whyte and Connor Wickham will all leave the club at the end of this month, while five professionals who have predominantly played for the under-21s will depart, too.
It means Mark Harris, Joel Bagan and Eli King have all been made offers to stay with the club as discussions continue following the arrival of new manager Erol Bulut.
The five under-21s players who will leave are Jac Clay, Taylor Jones, Jack Leahy, Aidan MacNamara and Owen Pritchard.
The club have exercised options to extend the contracts of Cameron Antwi, Raheem Conte, Kieron Evans, Caleb Hughes, Ryan Kavanagh and Matt Turner.
There aren't too many surprises in the list of senior players departing the Bluebirds, with Wickham perhaps the only one left with a question mark hanging over him. The decision to offer Harris a new deal was in the balance for a time, too.
With the three loan players having gone back to their parent clubs, it means Cardiff, as things stand, are now left with 29 players they deem as senior players in their squad - providing the three who have been offered new deals take them.
Given Cardiff are expected to bring as many as 10 new signings in, the number of players will likely be trimmed down with more loan or even permanent exits as the summer goes on.
