Cardiff City and Swansea City will lock horns in the South Wales derby at Cardiff City Stadium on September 16.
It's the earliest scheduled league derby since 1994, when both sides shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Ninian Park on September 3.
The return clash has been pencilled in for March 16, with the Swans looking to continue an incredible recent run in this fixture.

Both fixtures could of course be moved for TV coverage, although the last meeting between the two sides remained an untelevised 3pm kick-off.
The Swans have dominated this fixture in recent years, sealing an unprecedented second consecutive league double last term following Ben Cabango's late winner in a 3-2 victory in the capital back in April.
In fact, Swansea have only lost one of the last nine meetings between the two sides, and addressing that record will surely be an important part of the brief for new Cardiff boss Erol Bulut.
Swansea will also have a new manager in place, mind. Russell Martin, the most successful manager in the fixture's history, has left for Southampton, with Michael Duff looking like the man who will now replace him in the hot-seat.
Whoever takes over in the Swans dugout will have some big shoes to fill in terms of this fixture, and the Jack Army will be desperate to see their side keep up their incredible recent record over their most bitter rivals.
For Cardiff, another double defeat is quite simply unthinkable.
