The Cardiff Bay River Walk has been closed for essential works until the end of March with Cardiff Half Marathon organisers saying that a "slight deviation" to the route will be needed as a result.
Works to replace decking boards on the lower boardwalk in front of the Senedd commenced on February 8 with the boardwalk area set to be closed off until March 31.
A Facebook post from the Cardiff Bay Official account announced the closure on February 7.

A Cardiff council spokesperson confirmed that 10% of the pontoons directly opposite the boardwalk will be closed but the pay and display leisure boat area will remain open and there will not be any impact on the commercial boat operations.
To accommodate the closure of the River Walk there will be a "slight deviation" to the route of the Cardiff Half Marathon, which will take place on March 27.
A representative from organisers Run 4 Wales said: "We are aware of the maintenance work being carried out to the boardwalk in Cardiff Bay. A slight deviation to the Cardiff Half route will be required but this will not have any major impact on the event. Agreed changes will be minimal and will be communicated to any impacted residents and businesses as soon as possible."
