US rapper Cardi B has hit out at “mean” fans on social media, telling them they need to “calm down” about her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

The hip-hop star, 33, has told her fans they are being “too mean” in a lengthy video on X, following internet speculation about her relationship with the 32-year-old New England Patriots player.

It comes after reports that the couple, who welcomed their first baby together in November, appeared to spend Christmas Day separately.

In the video, Cardi B, real name Belcalis Almanzar, addressed her fans, and said: “You need to calm down.

“You’ve been dragging me for three or four days, you’ve been a little bit too mean.

“I can’t go back in time, I already had a baby. You want me to put my baby back? What do you want me to do, you want me to leave my man?”

The rapper added: “I have so much work to do when January starts that is stressing me out, I have to rehearse for 10-12 hours a day for tour.

“I need my support system, my fans, to love me.

“I want good for you. Wish me the same thing.”

Following posts on Cardi B’s Instagram page over Christmas, fans were quick to speculate why the rapper’s partner was not in any of the photos.

On his Instagram stories, the NFL player posted that he was spending time with his other children, and hinted that the couple were celebrating the holidays separately.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper welcomed her fourth child in November this year, and announced the birth of her son in a post on Instagram.

The baby is her first child with her boyfriend Diggs.

Cardi B also has three children from her previous marriage with rapper Offset – daughters Kulture, seven, and Blossom, one, and son Wave, four.
