The second round of of the 2022/23 Carabao Cup got underway on Tuesday evening.
Fulham and West Brom were two of the major casualties who exited the cup at their first opportunity and all the London clubs will hope they can avoid early exits as the first piece of major silverware is up for grabs in February, 2023.
Liverpool were the victors in last season's final which will be remembered once again as the Kepa Arrizabalaga show. The Chelsea shot-stopper, who was the villain for the Blues in the 2018/19 edition when he refused to be substituted by Maurizio Sarri, smashed his penalty kick over the bar to gift the Reds victory after an elongated shoot-out.

It completed the full set of trophies won under manager Jürgen Klopp and this season, each of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea will fancy their chances to continue to prevent Pep Guardiola from making this trophy Man City's again.
