Manchester City will host Chelsea in the third round of the Carabao Cup as the draw threw up a blockbuster clash.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were beaten finalists in the competition last season, losing on penalties to Liverpool in the final at Wembley, and they will have to overcome a team who have dominated the Carabao Cup in recent years if they are to make another run at the trophy. The defending champions welcome Derby to Anfield.
Tottenham meanwhile will travel to face Nottingham Forest, who made a habit of knocking out well-fancied sides in cup competitions last season at the City Ground. Leicester and Arsenal were among their victims in the FA Cup.
The Gunners will host Brighton in the third round, while Manchester United also face an all-Premier League tie as Aston Villa travel to Old Trafford.
West Ham host Blackburn at the London Stadium, while Crystal Palace’s reward for beating Oxford in the second round is a trip to face Newcastle.
These matches will take place between the 8th and 10th of November.
