Details of the draw for the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup have been announced - and Nottingham Forest will be aiming to ensure they are included.
The Reds return to action after the World Cup break on Wednesday night with a fourth round tie at Blackburn Rovers. Should Steve Cooper’s side progress, they would find out their next opponents in the competition the following day.
The quarter-final draw will take place live on Sky Sports on Thursday (December 22) after the conclusion of the tie between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. Mark Chapman will host, with former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given and Nottingham's own Euro 2022-winning England shot-stopper Mary Earps making the draw.

The quarter-final fixtures will take place in the week commencing January 9. Two matches will be confirmed for live broadcast on Sky Sports.
Of the fourth round ties to have been played so far, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers have booked their places in the last eight. In addition to Forest’s match, Wednesday night sees Charlton Athletic host Brighton and Hove Albion, while Manchester United take on Burnley at Old Trafford. The last of the ties then takes place at the Etihad on Thursday.
The Reds have already seen off Grimsby Town and Tottenham Hotspur in the tournament. Goals from Jesse Lingard and Renan Lodi saw them topple Antonio Conte’s team 2-0 in the last round at the City Ground.
Cooper’s men will be aiming to pick up from where they left off before the break when they take to the Ewood Park pitch. They had seemingly turned a corner in their form before the season paused, having suffered just two defeats in eight games in all competitions.
