Car vandals hunted by police after Montrose wrecking spree

Police are hunting mindless vandals who targeted cars in Montrose last week.

The thugs damaged a number of vehicles in the Angus town between Wednesday and Thursday,

The incidents happened in the Newmanswalls, Lamb Way, Ferry Street and Provost Johnston Road areas of the town.

Sergeant Peter Mustard, of the local Community Policing team said: “It is disappointing to hear of the mindless acts of vandalism to a number of vehicles in Montrose.

“This sort of anti-social behaviour in the local community is completely unacceptable and I would urge anyone with information or who may have seen anything to come forward.”

-Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0786 of 15 April or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
