Drivers were met with huge queues after a rush hour crash caused havoc in Felling this morning (November 24).
Northumbria Police confirmed the two-vehicle incident took place at around 7.20am today on Park Road, Felling, while photographs from the scene show a mangled car in the centre of the carriageway.
Eastbound traffic was held at a standstill for nearly two hours while officers cleared the scene away, with queues going to the Tyne Bridge.
