Emergency services in north Wales launched a major rescue operation after a car plunged into a river. The incident took place in Llandrillo, near Corwen, on the afternoon of December 19.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said that two people were extracted from the car and passed over to paramedics. The spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.47pm to a single vehicle stuck in the water."
The fire service sent two appliances - one from Wrexham, and a Water Incident Unit from Bala. The spokesperson continued: "Two people were extracted from the car using water appliance tools, and both were passed over to Welsh Ambulance Service where they conveyed them to hospital."

The rescue team included crews from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service and North East Wales Search and Rescue. A NWESAR spokesperson said on Twitter: "Earlier today two NEWSAR team members assisted North Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews and North Wales Police to extract two persons from a car in water in Llandrillo, near Corwen.
"The remainder of the team was stood down while responding, as there were sufficient resources on scene to complete the rescue."
