An ambulance has been involved in a three-vehicle crash on the busy A92 in Aberdeen. Police officers were called to the scene near Charleston at around 11.55am on Friday, September 2.
Pictures from the scene show a wrecked black motor sitting in the middle of the carriageway with the front end completely destroyed. Debris from the cars was littered across both sides of the road.
A Scottish Ambulance Service vehicle was also damaged after being hit by another vehicle. It is not currently known if anyone was injured or whether the emergency vehicle was responding to a call at the time.
A recovery vehicle is in attendance to remove the stricken motors from the road. The road was closed for a short while and it remains partially blocked with traffic building up in the surrounding area.
A statement from Police Scotland said: "Around 11.55am on Friday, 2 September, police were called to a report of a road crash involving three vehicles on the A92 near to Charleston. Officers are in attendance."
