A car was in bits at the side of the road after a woman was cut out of a vehicle following a crash.
Merseyside Police were called to County Road, at the junction of Webster Drive in Kirkby at 4.51pm on Thursday, January 5, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a Skoda and a Ford Kuga were involved in the incident.
A woman was trapped in the White Skoda following the crash and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to cut her out of the vehicle. Paramedics attended to the woman while firefighters removed the roof of her car.

The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries. Merseyside Police were unable to confirm the woman's condition at this stage.
The Ford Kuga was removed from the scene, with the driver helping police with their enquiries.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were alerted at 5.20pm and two fire engines along with the Search and Rescue Team were on scene at 5.22pm. On arrival crews were met with a two vehicle road traffic collision, both vehicles on all four wheels.
"Driver of vehicle one was unable to leave the vehicle independently and was treated by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) while firefighters made a plan to safely remove the casualty from the vehicle to enable Paramedics to provide further treatment.
"Firefighters then safely removed the roof of the vehicle and brought the casualty into the care of Paramedics, who carried out a full assessment before conveying the individual to hospital. Vehicle two was removed from the scene and the driver was with Merseyside Police.
"Our crews made the scene safe and left at 6.05pm"
The junction of County Road with Webster Driver is partially closed as officers preserve the scene of the accident.
A video from the scene shows large panels of the Skoda lying on the roadside where firefighters have released the woman from the car. At least three police vehicles, including Matrix and a police van, two fire engines and a search and rescue vehicles, and an ambulance were at the scene.
