A road in Carmarthenshire was closed after a crash which saw one car land on its roof on the side of a residential street. The incident happened shortly before 10am on Thursday morning in Causeway Street, Kidwelly, between Carmarthen and Llanelli. Police, fire crews and paramedics all went to the scene.

The road was blocked in both directions as emergency services arrived at the scene of the crash, which happened between Vicarage Lane and Kidwelly Rugby Club. No-one was trapped in either of the vehicles involved and no-one sustained serious injuries.

A spokeswoman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a road traffic collision on Causeway Street in Kidwelly at 9.59am on Thursday morning. Two cars were involved. Police and the ambulance service were also in attendance. Fire crews from Kidwelly and Llanelli and a fire officer from Carmarthen were sent to the scene and were involved in scene safety and clearing debris from the road. Crews left the scene at 11.15am.”
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that one man sustained what were believed to be minor injuries and later attended hospital. The road was closed shortly after the crash and had re-opened by 11.45am.
