A car flipped over onto its roof after a crash on a residential street in Nottinghamshire tonight (Saturday, June 17). A woman who said she witnessed the collision has spoken about the incident, saying her partner helped to rescue the driver.
Chelsea Leigh Channer, of Hucknall, said she was returning from the chip shop with her partner on Yorke Street when the incident happened at around 7pm. She said police and fire crews attended the scene.
The woman added: "My partner then ran over to get the driver out of the car."

"The police and fire service turned up. Me and my partner had to give statements as we witnessed it."
Ms Channer, who lives locally, said: "We had just come out from the chip shop getting our tea when it happened."
She said the road had been blocked off. Nottinghamshire Police have been approached for more information.
