Police are appealing for information after a car crashed outside a Welsh pub - less than two years after the same thing happened at the exact same spot.
In July 2021, six people were taken to hospital after a vehicle collided with pedestrians outside The Windsor pub in Pontyclun. Late on Saturday, a car again crashed outside the pub, damaging picnic benches and wooden pillars and colliding with a parked car which was empty. This time, thankfully, there are no reported injuries as there were no pedestrians in the vicinity when the crash occurred, which was shortly before midnight on Saturday. Police have issued an appeal for information and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them. They are also looking through CCTV footage from the area.

The 2021 incident was far more serious as it happened at around 8.30pm on a July evening, when people were sat and stood outside the pub. On that occasion, police said the driver was believed to have suffered a medical episode behind the wheel which resulted in the car he was driving, a silver Ford Puma, crashing into the pub.
